MacGyver originally first aired on ABC on September 29, 1985. The show continued its run through May 21, 1992. The show's final episode ("The Stringer") was actually aired on April 25, 1992, and on May 21, 1992 the "lost" episode "The Mountain of Youth" was aired. In the early 1990s, the USA cable channel began airing MacGyver reruns for a while. MacGyver returned to ABC for two made-for-tv movies that aired in 1994. "MacGyver: Lost Treasure of Atlantis" aired on May 14, 1994 and "MacGyver: Trail to Doomsday" aired on November 24, 1994. In the late 1990s, around 1998 or so, cable channel WGN began airing MacGyver and continued running it through 2002. Starting in 2003, the cable channel TV Land began airing MacGyver once again, lasting through 2006 or so. Check out their site to request more airings of MacGyver. The UK cable channel, Bravo, also started airing MacGyver again in 2003 through 2004. It has since stopped airing MacGyver. SpikeTV had also begun airing MacGyver back to back, as of February 2004, at 9 am and again at 3 p.m., eastern time. The neat thing about their schedule is that both time slots ran episodes from different halfs of the series. For example, 6th. season episodes might be running in the 9 a.m. time slot while 2nd. season episodes run in the 3 p.m. time slot. This way viewers get a mesh of MacGyver episodes from different seasons. Spike has also since stopped airing MacGyver, somewhere about 2006. Check out their site here and ask them to bring Mac back! As of summer 2007, MacGyver does not seem to be airing anywhere in the USA or UK, though it continues to air in syndication all over the world.
